What is a Bluetooth Connectivity?

Pairing your phone wirelessly.

Short-range radio links your phone to the car — for calls, music and contacts

Simplified animation — not to scale.

In plain English

A short-range wireless link between your phone and the car, used for hands-free calls, streaming music and transferring your contacts list.

A simple analogy

"It's the car saying "hi" to your phone over a private little radio channel — no cables, no internet needed."

How it works

Both devices broadcast a low-power radio signal in the 2.4 GHz band. When you put the car into pairing mode and select it on your phone, they swap security keys once — after that, they reconnect automatically every time you get in.

Signs of trouble

  • Phone won't pair or asks for a code that's rejected
  • Call quality is muffled or one-sided
  • Music keeps cutting out
  • Car forgets the phone after every trip
Rough UK cost

Usually free if the car supports it
