What is a Wireless Charging Pad?
Top up your phone without plugging in.
Simplified animation — not to scale.
In plain English
A small rubberised tray, usually in the centre console, that charges Qi-compatible phones when you lay them flat on it.
A simple analogy
"Like leaving your toothbrush on its stand — energy jumps the gap through magnetism, no plug required."
How it works
A coil inside the pad creates an alternating magnetic field. A second coil inside your phone picks that field up and converts it back into electricity, trickling current into the battery — typically at 5–15 watts.
Signs of trouble
- ⚠Phone gets warm but doesn't charge
- ⚠Charging only works in one exact spot
- ⚠Stops working when the car turns a corner
- ⚠Pad makes a buzzing noise
